OK, so am really 30!

Today was my 30th birthday. This was a big deal, I said goodbye to my 20's! I can't believe I am 30, not that 30 is a bad thing. I feel good and our family is starting a new chapter in our lives this year.

I think John and Gavin were more excited it was my birthday then I was. They loved the cake and ballons. Oh, I must mention how spoiled I am by my husband, he really knows how to take care of me. He stayed home from school, let me sleep in, took care of the kids, cleaned the house, filled the house with ballons, got me a cake, took me out to dinner, and he got me tickets to see the musical "Wicked". He is by far the best husband ever, I am very VERY lucky! This was a great birthday and I will remember it always.

Like Mother Like Daughter

I just wanted to let all my friends and family know how special my mother is to me. Now that I have become a mother I can truely understand how much my mother loves me. Gavin has been sick for the past week and all he wants is his mommy. He has made it clear that Daddy is not a good replacement so I have been comforting him constantly. This has brought up old memories of my mom when I was young. Whenever I was sick or in pain my mom would comfort me like no one else on earth could do. I often remember saying; "I want my mommy". I still remember her touch the smell of her chest when she would embrase me. I will always treasure these memories as I hope my children will treasure me. I am grateful for her and the example she has set for me. I feel I will be a better mom because of her. I love you mom, thank you!

Dental Board Pictures

If anyone was wondering where my boys got their good looks, here you go. I took these pictures while I was trying to take a picture of just Steven for a headshot he needs to have for his dental boards. John and Gavin were bagging me if they too could be in the picture. So what do you think, picture of just Steven or a picture of Steven and his postarity? As much as we want the hansome trio I don't think the Western Dental Board members would appricate the additional members. (haha)
